The National Blood Authority is celebrating Australia’s generous volunteer blood donors and supporters this National Blood Donor Week11–17 June. It’s part of how we’re showing our support of the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.

Australia needs 25,000 blood donations every week. Donating blood only takes one hour and can save up to three lives – so what better time is there to become a bloody legend?

How to become a bloody legend

Book a blood donation or call 13 14 95. It can be during National Blood Donor Week or any time — the need for blood is constant.

  • To organise to donate as a group with your workmates, call the Red25 team on 1300 886 524
  • Donate and feel great for saving lives.

Share a ‘legendary’ status

Whether you’re able to donate or not, there are other ways to support Australia’s bloody legends.  Download a donation supporter image to share on social media, find the Australian Red Cross Blood Service on social media, or become a Red25 Champion and rally your colleagues to the cause.
