The National Blood Authority has commenced a review of the Patient Blood Management Guidelines: Module 1 – Critical Bleeding/Massive Transfusion (Module 1). This review is being conducted as a pilot to test various approaches to update the Patient Blood Management Guidelines. The aim is to use the lessons learned from the update of Module 1 to update the remaining modules using more efficient and cost-effective methodologies.
The pilot project is expected to be completed in 2016-17.
