Data and research

As part of our responsibilities for the Australian blood sector, we:

• manage systems and data on behalf of all jurisdictions
• collect data through our various operational systems, such as BloodNet
• provide analytical and reporting services to internal and external clients.

We also fund research projects to:

• gather knowledge and evidence about blood and blood products, and how to use them
• inform good decisions for governments, patients, clinicians and others
• support best practices in managing and using blood and blood products and services.
