The Patient Blood Management Guidelines: Module 4 Critical Care (2013) is now archived. A copy remains available for reference.
As the guideline is more than 10 years old, it may not reflect the currently available evidence. Users should exercise clinical judgement if referring to this guideline.
We are considering future updates to the guideline.
Any questions should be directed to guidelines@blood.gov.au.
The Critical Care module assisted and guided health-care professionals in making clinical decisions when managing patients requiring critical care.
The Critical Care Quick Reference Guide included a Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP) template that was designed to be adapted to meet local institutions’ patient population and resources.
