The National Blood Authority (NBA) is pleased to announce the release of much-anticipated new Clinical Transfusion Practice courses.
In response to valuable feedback from stakeholders, BloodSafe eLearning Australia(Opens in a new tab/window) (BEA) has redesigned the Clinical Transfusion Practice course into five profession-specific courses. This means leaners will only be required to complete the course relevant to their profession, providing a more tailored learning experience while significantly reducing the time required to complete the course.
The current Clinical Transfusion Practice course and corresponding refresher courses will remain available on the BloodSafe eLearning Australia website until 30 October 2026. This transition period will enable users currently undertaking the course to complete their assessment and provide organisations with sufficient time to prepare for the transition to the new profession-specific learning pathways.
BEA is funded to develop online educational resources for health professionals in Australia and enable free access by all users. Courses are approved by relevant professional societies and endorsed for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
